Annual Retreat
The PCCTSDP retreat will be held from November 7-10, 2024.
The purpose of this retreat is to:
- Network between new applicants, mentors, scholars, program directors, NIH, and committee members
- Interview applicants and select scholars
- Promote career development through structured and unstructured activities
- Allow scholars to present their current research for exchange of ideas and feedback
At the annual retreat, speakers present on important survival skills in academic medicine. Topics may include: how to negotiate, working on a team, manuscript preparation, grant writing/review, identifying funding sources, oral presentations, dealing with one’s mentor, and learning how to provide mentorship to younger trainees.
